Your prices have NOTHING to do with your worthiness

When I speak with creative entrepreneurs, one thing I find so many seem to do is relate their pricing to their worthiness. This can lead to a number of problems, and one of the biggest challenges being that entrepreneurs deal with: undervaluing themselves. 

If you feel that your pricing is tied to your personal worth, you are likely to be doing this, which hinders both your personal and business growth.

What I need you to know is that your prices have nothing to do with your worthiness. 

It is not a reflection of your personal value in the slightest. 

Issues around pricing can mean: you have a hard time increasing prices (even when it’s necessary), experience stress and overwhelm choosing prices, and you might stop enjoying running your business.

Here’s my best pricing tip:

Your prices need to be based on your actual needs and your financial goals. 

Look at the numbers! The costs of providing a product or service, your financial goals of making, saving, debt pay off etc. as well as the expertise you bring to the table.

The value of what you're offering is subjective, but you need to decide the valid reasons you have for setting your prices. 

And if someone doesn't opt in for your offer, your art, whatever you're putting out there, that doesn't mean that they're saying you're not worthy or valuable. 

Customers make decisions based on a variety of different factors such as budget and personal preferences. It’s more about THEM, then you.

There are lots of pricing strategies out there, many that can work well for us creative business owners, but the main thing I want you to take from this is that your prices are not connected to your worthiness or personal value.

Why Do Assh*les Make Money?

Here’s something I’ve really been wrestling with:

Why are there so many people (I know you can think of a few!) who are self-centered, greedy, inconsiderate, not on a healing journey, and still out in the world making big bucks WHILE-

So many people who are extremely generous, self aware, on a healing path, and trying to align with their highest selves, are struggling to see financial gains?!

There’s an array of reasons, but what I’ve come up with is this:

  1. Money doesn’t care about your mood or your ‘tude.

  2. We know better, so we’re choosing to build our wealth differently.

You absolutely don’t need to understand your inner child or be high vibe all the time to make money. But, if you’re like my clients and I, we’re not after just money.

We want a better world, and that starts with bettering yourself.

Healing yourself. Honoring yourself. And trying to be the best human you can be.

And as you’re going about working on your best self, you can be making good money- rest assured you will NOT turn into someone completely different (aka greedy asshole) because you’re constantly working on yourself along the way.

What I’ve learned is if you’re trying to be perfect in order to receive, you’re never going to be where you want to be.

To get clear on what you want & why and then take consistent action, working through mindset blocks at the same time, is the fastest way to bring you & money into harmony.

In my 3 Pillars of Wealth Mindset, the first pillar is:

Money doesn’t buy happiness, pursue both.

And it’s so true, we have to choose to actively pursue our happiness, our health, our version of well-being alongside building our businesses and bringing in the money. But it is a CHOICE.

Wealth Expansion Client Study: Trust is Everything!

Today I want to share a quick, inspiring case study of one of my clients who did wealth expansion coaching with me!

#3 We also made a feel-good daily schedule so she could eat lunch in peace, recharge & have policies for no shows.

-> Taking an hour for lunch was a dream she had that came true when we set boundaries in her schedule and honored her body's need for quiet in between hours of standing & talking with clients.

-> Then we instituted fee policies for any clients who didn't show last minute, eliminating the stress of missed money as well as people who weren't truly valuing her time!

-> Her go-to release is golf, so even through the New England fall & winter she was getting out to have that solo time & energy reset. As well as dance party breaks to shake it out!

-> She also booked some special nights out for her & wifey for fun and romance. And a full on vacation is on the books once they feel safe for plane travel!
